First female forklift operator

At Quifatex we have our first female forklift operator, which represents a milestone for the company. We congratulate Ruth Fernandez for her dedication during this training period, which began in October 2023 and involved 40 hours of practice and 12 hours of theoretical training.

Our Forklift School promotes the development of our Distribution and Logistics Center employees to improve their knowledge and skills.

We reaffirm our commitment to good practices of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and growth through our internal programs.

We are a sustainable company

In the context of the Sustainability Summit 2024, held in the city of Quito on April 10 and 11, companies with purpose were recognized for their efficiency and commitment to sustainability.

Quifatex was recognized as a triple impact company as it was on the list of the most efficient companies in its activity, in addition to its good practices in the social and environmental areas, where the following projects were evaluated:

  • Environmental project: Carbon footprint measurement and reduction – scope 1, 2 and 3.
  • Social project: Healthy lifestyles program – Actívate y Vive (Get Active and Live).

We are committed to ensuring sustainable operations management, embracing both our supply chains and global standards, with best practices and a continuous search for innovation.

In this way, we want to generate a positive impact on the environment, our employees and society, working for a more sustainable future.

Great Place to Work 2024

On March 20, at the Talent Summit event, organized by Ekos magazine, the best places to work in Ecuador 2024 were recognized, which is the result of an annual ranking led by Great Place to Work, based on the measurement of the work environment where the best organizations to work for are chosen, classifying them as follows:

  • Companies with 20 to 100 employees.
  • Companies with 101 to 500 employees.
  • Companies with more than 500 employees

Within this last category, Quifatex ranked 5th among 10 companies.

We are proud of this achievement, which reflects the result of teamwork. This encourages us to continue to focus on living our vision, purpose and corporate values, reaffirming our commitment to have a work environment where trust, satisfaction and well-being of our employees are our priority.

"UDLA" University Fair

On Tuesday, April 9, we participated in the job fair at the Universidad de las Américas UDLA. A space where we took the opportunity to share the programs for young professionals, students and graduates that we currently have. Among our main programs for young professionals are:

  • The Trainee program that seeks to encourage third level graduates to live a challenging experience in their professional career, where they will put their knowledge into practice through the execution of projects in various areas of the company.
  • Campus Quifatex, our program focused on interns that provides the opportunity to develop the professional profiles of university students in different corporate areas and start their career in one of the largest and most recognized companies in the country.

We successfully completed our participation in the fair with an attendance of approximately 600 students, thus reinforcing our commitment to recruit the best talent.

We appreciate the interest and participation of young people in this meeting that allows us to show Quifatex as a great place to work.

Comunicándonos (Communicating)

Comunicándonos is one of the most important events within our company. It involves all employees nationwide and is responsible for sharing relevant information such as 2023 results and 2024 projects. All this with the purpose of aligning ourselves to work as a team to meet and exceed the objectives set for this year.

Quifatex lives its value of innovation

On November 23, we launched the 2nd edition of our Development Program, Digital One, which aims to develop and learn lean-agile methodologies, models and tools for the design of innovative strategic projects and initiatives, that all contribute towards the organization.
A new group of thirty collaborators from different units and support areas were selected to participate in the program and upon completion, they´ll be able to promote rapid learning, strengthen the use of technology, and facilitate decision-making in order to be adaptable and agile in generating competitive advantages for Quifatex and Vanttive.

Quifatex participated in the Women Economic Forum

Our CEO, Jacqueline Mayor, was invited to participate as a prominent leader in this meeting, with the talk, “You create your own space”, which addressed issues related to the empowerment of women in current times.
In addition, Quifatex was one of 15 companies that received the prestigious “Iconic Companies Creating a Better World for All” award, in recognition for encouraging good practices in diversity, equity and gender inclusion.

Quifatex contributes towards the development of doctors

Last month, the company was present at the VI ELAIR in Mexico City, a congress that discussed the future of protection through immunomodulation. Together with our represented brand, OM PHARMA, we participated in seminars for Latin American doctors, on the importance of applying this therapy in both children and adults.

In this way, Quifatex contributes towards knowledge in the world of health.

Our influencers lived our corporate values

Our Influencers, the informal leaders of the organization, experienced a day of awareness of our corporate values through a workshop that was recently held.
Through a set of different dynamics, they received reinforcement in the meaning of each of the values so that, in this way, they can become the promoters of our culture with their teams and coworkers.

Participation in Global Compact's Target Gender Equality 2023 Forum

Quifatex participated in Global Compact’s Target Gender Equality 2023 forum, where we shared with an important group of companies, our progress in our diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy with a focus on gender, demonstrated through our #Libre campaign, among other activities.
At Quifatex, we reiterate our commitment to maintaining good practices that promote gender equality in the workplace. We appreciate the invitation by Global Compact Ecuador and commit to continue working on the Objectives of the 2030 Agenda.

Commitment to the development of our Work Teams

Continuing with our commitment to develop our work teams, at the beginning of September the company trained a group of Medical Visitors on a new represented line that is about to be released to our clients. During this multi-day workshop, our collaborators acquired all the knowledge about this brand, as well as comprehending all the benefits that these products will have for Ecuadorian families.

Educational Alliances for our employees

As one of the benefits that the company offers to our employees, we have established alliances with several universities, technological institutes and training centers in the country so that our collaborators can access the different undergraduate and graduate programs that they have on offer. In doing so, we seek to see them continuing to grow personally and professionally so that they can achieve more goals in their lives.

Educational excellence program: Recognizing the sons and daughters of our collaborators

In June and August our EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE PROGRAM was carried out, which recognized the effort and dedication of the sons and daughters of our collaborators, who excelled in their studies during the 2022-2023 school year, both in the Coast and Sierra regions.
We congratulate the 34 elementary and high school children and adolescents who were recognized in different ceremonies that took place in our offices, for their outstanding academic average.
In Quifatex we´re proud of them and we´re sure that they´ll be the next leaders of the country, so we encourage them to continue on their path towards excellence.

Programs that promote Healthy Lifestyles

Our company promotes the health of our collaborators through several programs, one of which is ACTIVATE Y VIVE, in which our workers have a follow-up of several months in nutrition, physical activity, psychological consultations and stress and sleep management. This is in addition to other programs we have carried out, such as the 5k Challenge Race, Daily Active Breaks, High Performance Athletes Program and our Internal Soccer Championship.
Through these spaces, we promote healthy lifestyle practices, the experience of corporate values and the involvement of family in sports.

One Academy: Start of term II

This month we began the 2nd term of our ONE Academy program, which seeks to give employees access to different workshops that allow them to develop various skills that are not necessarily related to their daily roles; so that they can apply these lessons in their day-to-day activities and therefore grow personally and professionally.

Lanzamiento de Programa Trainee One Lab

On Friday March 11th, Quifatex launched the Trainee One Lab Training Leaders Program in the city of Quito, which seeks to recruit young professionals from different universities, in order to promote their growth and development in our company, through the assignment of strategic projects.
The event revealed Quifatex’s line of business through the participation of internal speakers who shared their experience and learning with 20 university students. Our premium brands prepared a creative surprise for our visitors, so that these young people could learn more about them and their products.
In addition, the participants were able to learn about the purpose of our Trainee One Lab Training Leaders program, its benefits and how it contributes to their professional growth.
We appreciate your trust and we hope that this event has been a unique experience for each one of you and we invite more university students to be part of our program in the future.

Tour de France Amateur Cycling Race, L’étape Ecuador

At Quifatex we support the development of our represented brands!
La Roche Posay and Max Sport were official sponsors of the Tour de France amateur cycling race, L’Étape ECUADOR.
L’Étape ECUADOR was not just a race, it was an experience where more than 3,000 participants were able to experience what it feels like to be a professional cyclist in the Tour de France race. This competition provided amateur cyclists with the closest experience to the mountainous stage of the European competition. With three distances (recreational 40km – medium distance 80km – long distance 150km), in Cuenca and its surroundings. La Roche Posay and Max Sport had a brand presence both in social networks and digital campaigns, such as activations and product tests during the event. In addition, our Head of New Businesses, Ángela Paz y Miño, obtained second place in the category of 30 to 34 years and 80km, filling the entire Quitafex family with great pride.

L´Etape Ecuador – Tour de France

Quifatex supports our represented brand’s development. This is why La Roche Posay and Max Sport will now be official sponsors of this amateur race.

L’Etape Ecuador is not only a competition, it’s a complete experience where every athlete has the opportunity to live the race just as a professional racer does during the Tour de France.
